The Khan Academy is a not-for-profit organization with the mission of providing a free, high quality education to anyone, anywhere.

We have 1000+ videos covering everything from basic arithmetic and algebra to differential equations, physics, chemistry, biology and finance. All of the videos have been recorded by Salman Khan.

These videos are reaching tens of thousands of students per day and are being distributed by partner organizations --Uconnect.org and World Possible--on stand-alone servers in underserved areas throughout the world.

Despite being the effort of one man, the Khan Academy is today the primary source of k-12 Academic instruction on the Internet.

We strongly believe that ignorance is the root of all conflict and that enlightenment is a fundamental ingredient for peace.

With this in mind, we are measuring our contribution to peace as the minutes of education delivered in the past week.
